A mutual assistance social network will appear on the blockchain
The founder of BitShares, Daniel Larimer, spoke about the launch of a decentralized blockchain-based MUXER network on his blog , which will operate on the principle of mutual assistance of participants who find themselves in a difficult legal or financial situation. Larimer dubbed this project a “social mutual assistance network”.

Groups of users of a social network will be united according to one or another type of risk. For example, there is already a group of “marijuana keepers” on the social network whose members have been charged with possession of this drug. Other groups will be formed for those who are charged with copyright or administrative violations. Anyone can become a member of the network, as well as make a donation and receive help, if necessary.
The essence of the plan is to amortize the unlikely, but serious consequences of the risks, such as in cases of copyright infringement. Copyright is a very ambiguous industry: while the law explicitly sets the right to use and broadcast content for the author, most of the world's population ignores this law, and only a select few are prosecuted for copyright infringement. Having donated a small amount, participants provide themselves with financial support in case they fall into their number.
Societies can be created by the project participants themselves, and not just by the creators of Muxer, and therefore Larimer emphasized that he personally may not support ideas that encouraged the participants to organize certain groups, however, in his opinion, any project based on the principle of mutual assistance has the right to exist.
The authors, in turn, are ready to offer concepts such as a human rights society, a society for protection against domestic violence, and even a society of “good Samaritans” who are ready to help in any difficult situations.
As part of the decentralized Muxer community, the concept of karma will operate, which will allow participants to vote for a particular project participant. The amount of karma depends on the size and frequency of the participant’s contributions.
How does muxer work?
Charitable contributions must be made every month, after which, in accordance with the provisions of the smart contract, they will be stored until you decide to support other participants with their help. The larger the amount of your contributions, the greater will be the amount of financial support that, if necessary, you will receive.
BitShares is a financial platform for concluding smart contracts with a decentralized exchange. BitShares has its own cryptocurrency (BTS), which will be used in the MUXER project. Within the Muxer network, you can make charitable contributions and receive financial support in bitcoins.
