X-Flash LED Bulbs
Recently, I talked about smart X-Flash LED lamps that can turn on automatically at dusk, change the color temperature of 3000 / 4000K, set one of three brightness levels or smoothly change the brightness without a dimmer. Today I will tell you about ordinary LED lamps of this brand.
I tested ten lamps.
I will start with the measurement results made with the Viso LightSpion and Lupine instruments .
Five lamps work correctly with switches that have an indicator. The remaining five blink when the switch is off (they have the value “No” in the table “Off” in the table).
All lamps have a high level of CRI 82-85, which allows us to recommend them for use in living rooms.
The ripple level for all lamps is permissible, for eight lamps it is below 8%, for one - 14%, for one - 30%. Let me remind you that human eyes do not see pulsation below 40%, and the level of pulsation of light from ordinary incandescent lamps is 8-31%.
Luminous flux and power equivalent of many lamps is slightly lower than the manufacturer claims. This must be considered when buying lamps. So, for 11 and 12 W lamps, the equivalent of 100 W and a luminous flux of 910 and 1000 Lm are declared, but in fact, they shine like an 80 and 75-watt incandescent lamp, and the measured luminous flux was 739 and 849 Lm (the less powerful eleven-watt lamp turned out to be brighter).
Four lamps have a very high efficiency of about 90 Lm / W. 8-watt bulb, shines like a 70-watt incandescent bulb. Let me remind you that the efficiency of the lamps of the previous generation is significantly lower. For example, a 10-watt Ikea 102.662.21 E27 LED1339G10 lamp shines like a 65-watt incandescent lamp.
X-Flash has two types of lamps, which differ significantly in both appearance and characteristics.
The 12 W 42975 and 8 W 42968 lamps have an open metal radiator.
They have less efficiency and the highest ripple of all the tested lamps, but the highest CRI is 85. Here are the detailed results of the color characteristics test of these lamps.
The radiator of lamps is heated to 81 degrees.
I tested two instances of 12 W 42975 lamps. They differed significantly in power consumption (10.8 and 11.7 W) and in luminous flux (739 and 808 Lm). I indicated in the table and on lamptest.ru the results of the worst instance.
For 11 W 44825, 8 W 44788 and 5 W 44887 lamps, a metal radiator is located inside the plastic housing.
These lamps have high efficiency and low ripple.
The temperature of the lamp housing does not exceed 73 degrees.
Let me give you an example of a Viso report on an 11-watt lamp 44825. The
same reports for all other lamps can be found on lamptest.ru (the second button in each row of the results table).
The unusual lamp 8 W 46751 has a flat housing. LEDs are arranged in a circle.
This lamp turned out to be the hottest - up to 87 degrees.
Two tested candles are also made using completely different technologies.
The 6.5-watt LEDs are located on the board, and in front of them is a radiator-diffuser. At 4.5 watt LEDs are mounted on metal “legs”.
The body heat in the candles is almost the same. The maximum is 78 degrees.
Two spots differ only in the base.
They have the same power of 6 watts, the same declared luminous flux of 350 watts, but for some reason the different declared equivalent power is 50 and 60 watts. In fact, they shine like 35-40-watt halogen spots. The angle of illumination of both lamps is too wide - 107-108 °, which means that, unlike halogen spots with an angle of illumination of 28-33 °, LED spots when they are installed in the ceiling will dazzle.
The maximum body temperature is 68 degrees.
All X-Flash LED bulbs have a 5 year warranty. Lamps are sold in the manufacturer’s own online store, so there should be no problems exchanging in the event of lamp failure.
In general, the bulbs are good. It is important only when buying them to take into account a slight overstatement by the manufacturer of the level of luminous flux and power equivalent and buy lamps with a margin of brightness.
All parameters of the tested lamps and Viso reports, including the spectra of the lamps, as well as all other results of my tests of LED lamps, see lamptest.ru .
