PHP + Ajax = Web explorer ?!

    Today I propose to overcome one very popular open source puzzle method. The task is trivial and has long had many solutions. But for me personally, the question is still open. Namely: the web-based file manager ... eXtplorer - with the help of Ajax (ExtJS, cuckoo !) And PHP, our experimental subject does an excellent job ... Here is a translated piece of “O” from the Source Forge page

    eXtplorer is a web file manager. You can use it to:

    * View directories and files on the server
    * Edit, copy, move, delete files,
    * Search, upload and download files,
    * Create and extract archives,
    * Create new files and directories,
    * Change files, much more ...

    You can even use eXtplorer to log in to an FTP server (for example, net2ftp) and work as you would through an FTP client.

    What are its advantages over other solutions?

    The usual drag & drop, familiar from the explorer tree view of folders, working with archives and editing files with code highlighting!

    I was very happy when I came across him. Open source, easy to use and most importantly functional. In general, one of the candidates for leadership on this issue! Yusa!

    It is also available as Joomla! and Mambo component.
