The Australian saved the house and animals from fire, being 3,000 km from the house, thanks to a smart irrigation system
Smart systems are becoming more common, they no longer produce the former “wow effect”, turning into a familiar element of our life. “Smart home” helps not only live, but also take care of their homes, apartments and farms. All this is especially true for Australia, where fires often occur. So, in this and last week in South Australia there are massive fires. 2 people have already died, 90 are hospitalized. 87 houses destroyed.
At the same time, more than 27,000 heads of cattle and other animals, which are usually reared on farms, died. The current problems are the sea, and apart from them is the story of the successful struggle of the owner of the estate with the elements. Moreover, the owner of the farm did not defeat the fire thanks to the actions of the relevant services or his own heroism. The smart watering system helped him save the house.
The owner of the farm in question is Professor Simon Maddocks. Simon seems to be a proponent of smart home systems. His farm has several cameras that can be accessed via the Internet. In addition, there are other systems - for example, smart watering. Using the application, the owner can turn on the irrigation system at any time of the day, from anywhere - whether it is Japan or the United States.

Seeing the approaching fire through security cameras, Simon Maddox turned on the irrigation system, consisting of water sprinklers, simply by pressing a button in the application. Despite the crops being destroyed, his house and animals survived.
The neighbors patrolling the area along with firefighters also helped.
In general, if you have a house in a fire-hazardous region, it's time to get a similar system.
