ARM family replenishment: meet MediaTek Helio X30

    The chip architecture remained similar to the previous 10-core Helio X20 model, except that the Cortex-A53 dual-core 1-GHz unit was replaced by a Cortex-A35 cluster with the same clock speed. It is designed for the 28-nm process technology and replaces the outdated Cortex-A7.

    According to the developers, the Cortex-A35 is the most energy-efficient mobile CPU in the ARM product lineup.

    According to unofficial information, the new product will contain: 4 × Cortex-A72 (2.5 GHz), 2 × Cortex-A72 (2.0 GHz), 2 × Cortex-A53 (1.5 GHz) and 2 × Cortex-A35 (1 GHz).

    As part of the expected support for the standard LPDDR4 memory and integrated graphics controller Mali ‑ T880. The first devices based on this SoC will appear at the end of 2016. The characteristics of the device can give it a chance to be used not only in phones and tablets, but also in smart watches.
