Samsung has announced a new bio-processor for wearable devices

A comprehensive solution can be integrated into modern gadgets and allows you to track almost all parameters of the body.

The company said it had begun work on a new bio-processor, into which several sensors to monitor health status would be "woven".

The company is convinced that the rapidly developing direction of wearable gadgets and devices for “fitness control” needs even more complex and less energy-consuming solutions, in connection with which Samsung has begun work on a new micro-chip, which will add:

    • The possibility of a blood test by the photoplethysmogram method
    • The possibility of recording skin-galvanic reactions
    • temperature sensor
    • ECG

It is specified that the new microprocessor will consume significantly less energy due to the correct integration of components, which will make it ideal for modern wearable gadgets.

    Specifications:
    • Cortex m4
    • Flash Memory - 512
    • RAM - 256 Kb

    Samsung's development number is S3FBP5A .

We add that Salutron recently introduced similar technologies in the new Zoom health tracker , where it is also planned to introduce a number of new sensors for wearable electronics, in particular the ability to record photoplethysmograms of blood.
