All major Lenovo innovations at IFA 2015
There were so many new Lenovo devices at IFA 2015 that, it seems, so far no one has managed to collect them all in one great material. Therefore, we ourselves decided to take the saber in our hands and put everything on the shelves - welcome to cat.
Last year we released our first selfie phone - Lenovo S90, a review of which, by the way, was shared on Geektimes. Then the main feature was the combination of a front camera with high resolution and LED flash on the front panel. The announcement announced at IFA 2015 goes even further: our new Vibe S1 selfie phone is equipped with two self-portrait cameras at once. This approach allows you to achieve two interesting effects. Firstly, to adjust the degree of blurring the background, and secondly, automatically cut the face of your beloved from the picture, and then attach any other background image - at least Big Ben, at least your favorite country house.
But the attractive features of the Vibe S1 do not end there. Our developers were able to make the gadget very light and thin, and the slightly curved back panel was covered with a protective glass Gorilla Glass 3. In combination with a metal base, it looks very wonderful. The filling did not disappoint: inside the eight-core MTK 6752 and as much as 3 GB of RAM. So here not only a peppy interface, but also demanding games go without glitches.
Another worthy successor of good traditions is the Vibe P1 smartphone with a capacious 5000 mAh battery. Like the good, but still far from old P70, you can also charge other mobile devices from it. The main thing is not to forget at home the adapter from microUSB to the "big" USB, and you will soon lose your account from the "thank you" friends who will speak with their phones suddenly discharged at a crucial moment. The situation is not rare.
The Vibe P1 has a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Inside, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor with a clock speed, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal. Plus, you can add up to 128 GB on a microSD card. The resolution of the main camera is 13 megapixels, and it, like the Vibe S1, also has fast phase autofocus.
We also released a slightly simplified modification of Vibe P1 - Vibe P1m . It is slightly more compact due to the use of a 5-inch screen with HD-resolution (also IPS). This affected the physical size of the battery, so its capacity in the Vibe P1m is 1000 mAh less. Well, the “stuffing”, of course, is a bit more modest: the MediaTek MT6735P chipset with a frequency of 1 GHz (also 64-bit), 16 GB of internal memory (+ microSD up to 32 GB) and the main camera with 8 megapixels instead of 13 megapixels. But in both gadgets there is support for LTE.
PHAB Plus marked the arrival of a new class of mobile devices in Lenovo's gadget portfolio. This large phablet with a 6.8-inch screen appeared for a reason: the results of our own research eloquently indicate that smartphone owners spend very little time talking on the phone. Instead, they correspond in social networks, watch videos, read books, leaf through electronic versions of magazines and so on ... And, of course, the larger the screen, the more convenient it is to do it all. That's it for such not very talkative users, PHAB Plus is done.
The device is enclosed in a beautiful metal case, the resolution of the large IPS screen is 1920 × 1080 pixels, which gives a density of 326 ppi. And it is very convenient not only to flip social media feeds, but also to play games. The ability to launch the most demanding of them is provided by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. Built-in 32 GB of memory can be supplemented by another 64 on microSD. We did not forget about photography enthusiasts - the camera here is not “tablet”, but “smartphone”, with a resolution of 13 megapixels, plus a front camera of 5 megapixels.
ThinkPad Yoga acrobatic laptops are even lighter and thinner. For example, the brand-new 12.5-inch Yoga 260 model weighs only 1.35 kg, and the 14-inch Yoga 460 weighs 1.76 kg. These are ideal laptop computers for any occasion, with which it is really easy and pleasant to work in any place more or less suitable for this occupation. And Yoga 260 and 460 became the first transformer notebooks in the world, which implemented LTE-Advanced technology for wireless connection via WAN-interface.
Both computers can be equipped with sixth-generation Intel Core processors: the i5-6200U or i7-6500U. The younger model is equipped with screens with HD or FullHD-resolution, inside up to 16 GB of RAM DDR4 and SSD type M.2 or PCIe. The older model, although it works 2 hours less (8 hours of battery life versus 10), but it can be equipped with discrete graphics and an excellent touch-sensitive WQHD screen with anti-glare coating and IPS-matrix. There is as much RAM, but it is of a different type - DDR3L.
Another highlight of our program is the new version of the 10-inch tablet with an integrated projector. Now the size of the projected image can reach 70 inches, and the module with the lamp is rotary, and the rotation angle is 180 degrees. Four powerful (by the standards of tablets, of course) JBL speakers, which can be manually adjusted using Wolfson Master Hi-Fi technology, are responsible for high-quality sound.
The gadget does not disappoint in terms of autonomy: a very serious 10,200 mAh battery is built into it. And the power reserve is quite enough for games - inside the Intel Atom x5-Z8500 and 2 GB of RAM. There is support for LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. In addition, the Yoga Tab 3 Pro is splashproof, and the case is made of the finest materials: metal and leather.
Our other particularly outstanding gadget is the IdeaPad MIIX 700, a device at the junction of tablets and ultrabooks with a large 12-inch screen (2160x1440 pixels) and a hinged keyboard. The design of the retractable stand uses the same hinges as the laptop Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro. The surprises do not end there, because the latest Intel Core M processor built on the Skylake architecture is installed inside. There will be several different configurations, but the top-end chip is the m7-6Y75 with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz and integrated Intel HD Graphics 515. It is also one of the first Lenovo devices with an integrated three-dimensional Intel RealSense camera.
Contrary to certain stereotypes, a monoblock can very much be the center of home entertainment, including, of course, gaming. This is eloquently confirmed by our brand new All-in-One PC IdeaCentre AIO 700 . The computer comes in two formats: with a touch 24-inch (FullHD) or 27-inch (UHD) display. Inside are Intel Core (Skylake) chips, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 2 TB on the hard drive and discrete graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 with 2 GB of video memory. The matter also could not do without good sound from our old friends - the company JBL - and support for current wireless standards: Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0.
In the line of ThinkCentre Tiny, we have a large replenishment of four models at once, but the most interesting computer, as always, is the top-end computer - the M900 Tiny . If you divide the performance that was achieved thanks to the use of Intel Skylake processors, up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and fast PCIe drives, per square centimeters, you get a very intriguing figure. Perhaps, by the way, in the upcoming materials, this is what we will do.
And now a couple of words about one of the most high-profile novelties - the second generation of Moto 360 smart watches. We are incredibly glad that we managed to make two form factors at once: gadgets with 42- and 46-mm round displays. In the first case, it is 1.37 inches with a resolution of 360x325 pixels, in the second - 1.56 inches and 360x330 pixels. The volume of permanent and RAM memory has not changed, inside there are still 512 MB RAM and 4 GB ROM, but the chipset is new - Qualcomm Snapdragon 615.
We also made a special sports version of the 42 mm watch - Moto 360 Sportwith integrated GPS module and heart rate sensor. In addition, this watch is very well protected from moisture: they can be lowered under water to a depth of 0.9 m for 30 minutes. Although in real life, of course, a shower after jogging or exercising on simulators is more likely to be relevant.
At the end of the selection, we move on to the serious gaming devices of our Y line. Let's go on increasing, that is, on accessories.

It simply doesn’t make sense to paint all the available configurations - the important thing is how cool this futuristic building looks and the long-term possibility of an upgrade is laid down here from the very beginning. Two video cards are supported, power supplies up to 1000 W, and everything is done inside so that the user can easily get through the dropsy.
