PipBoy from Fallout 3 on the Raspberry Pi

Due to the fact that Fallout 4 is coming soon (this should happen on November 11), fans of the game who know how to work with their hands and head have become very active. In other words, gauss cannons and other weapons have begun to appear again, plus there is a new PipBoy project.

The current project was created in the image and likeness of this “wearable PC” from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The author of the project upgraded the toy that came with the exclusive version of Fallout 3 on Amazon.

The electronic filling here is the Raspberry Pi Model A, 3.5 ″ LCD, the battery, as well as the software written by the author that emulates the PipBoy 3000 well. Of course, so far the most interesting component is missing in such projects - reading the indicators of the human body. Nevertheless, the development of the biometric sphere in wearable electronics allows us to say that computers of this type will appear soon and reliably reading the state of the human body. After all, if all sorts of smart watches and trackers can do this, why can't PipBoy ?

It is worth recalling that the plot of Fallout 4 starts a few hours before the apocalypse - "one beautiful Saturday morning." However, most of the game takes place in the future, remote from the date of the disaster by 200 years. In the game you can customize the hero by looking at yourself in the bathroom mirror. A character can be either a man or a woman. As far as you can understand, the hero of the game may have a partner - in this case a dog.

Fallout 4 runs on the new Creation Engine. The game has a large number of plot branches, side quests, RPG elements. The character can even build his own house using wood, metal and other materials. The more you build, the more people will come. In the end, looters with robbers will come. Construction is an optional option.

And this is how the new exclusive version of PipBoy looks, which will come with a special edition of Fallout 4
