Testing CO2 detector. Cognitive Atmosphere Measurement in the 3D Printer Shop, Cosmolager, Coworking, and Hack Space

My adventures in a month with a CO 2 detector from MasterKit.

I learned about the carbon dioxide sensor and the importance of ventilating the room for the normal functioning of the brain of an IT specialist from the article Chronic fatigue, apathy, seasonal “depression” and much more: a trivial reason (I recommend reading it to everyone). Since then, I wondered if there are times when you need not to endure stuffiness (“Tyzh peasant”), but to take active actions.

I repeated the experiment of BarsMonster and was amazed at how quickly the air in the room ends (especially if you are there alone). I also realized what dynamics of air freshness at night during sleep. Now the window is always open and there are warmer blankets.

Since then, I have become absolutely ruthless to those who ask to close the window so that it becomes warmer (let them dress) to the detriment of the freshness of the air (especially if it comes to the "red mark"). My conscience doesn’t bite me either that I can go out into the air in the middle of a lecture / seminar / meeting (my brain is more important to me than your KPIs).

Again, as with the other medical gadgets that I tested, the main result is that the device allows you to build in and calibrate the ability to feel stuffiness. “Calibration” takes about a month, then I trust my own acquired flair.
But still, the detector has become a permanent resident of my backpack (it is a compelling argument in disputes).

From a conversation with the employer:
    - You see, if the yellow light bulb, my brain works 30% worse, if the red one - 70% worse. Provide me with favorable working conditions, otherwise you will lose money. Imagine that you behave like the one who drinks beer diluted by 70%.

The principle of operation of the device is simple - depending on the concentration of CO 2, it burns in one of 3 colors:

Under the cat, there are several places that I visited and observed the values of CO 2

Trend Watching course from 19 to 22, a small lecture room (half), 20 people, an open door, 50 sq. M. meters.
    • an hour after the start of the lecture - 1350 ppm red light, air conditioning worked, cooled the air
    • during the break - 1150 ppm yellow light
    • after an hour and a half, the audience became worried and complained about stuffiness (that is, each has its own “detector”)
    • turned on the hood: at 21-00 (1200 ppm), 21-10 (1100 ppm), 21-30 (900 ppm)

workshop is equipped with an oxygen concentration sensor. If the value is low, the siren is activated and emergency ventilation is activated.

Summer, the windows are open, solid creativity and cognitive. The counselors had only the task of fighting physical inactivity while working on the project and driving the guys to “charge” the

Bus. All children are already seated. We are waiting for the lagging organizers. Well, so we are waiting. It's getting stuffy.
    I tell the driver:
    - Turn on the ventilation. Not air conditioning, but ventilation. Do you understand the difference?
    - Who will write off my solarium?
    - Look, here are the life support data on the bus. And if someone faints. Be sure to write off. You.

The driver silently turns on fresh air.

It was at this moment that Lazutkin tells how they ventilated each other when one is sleeping, and there is no electricity due to an accident (an oxygen bomb caught fire on February 23). Under zero gravity conditions, a CO 2 bubble forms around the head , and if there is no movement of the head relative to the internal atmosphere, then the astronaut may suffocate.

In the CubicRobotics room, the CO 2 sensor has been standing for over a year. In summer, it is not relevant, but in winter - this is a weighty argument in the debate about whether to open the window at the meeting.

Such should be the audience, where not only there is a place for fresh air, but also room for thought.

I was at the Mumiy Troll club a couple of months ago, no matter what the ventilation system was, there was a mess after an hour. But in the open air - just fine. "Tea" well done.

    Conclusion
I don’t wear smart watches, posture corrector either. But the carbon dioxide detector is very often with me. Recommend.
