The indicator on a car windshield

One of the solutions that implements this functionality is the use of projection displays. Texas Instruments offers the solution with the largest angle of view among similar devices on the market at the moment - the DLP chip or Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) is an array of micromirrors with a high-speed controller that modulates the light passing through it.
The simplified block diagram of the DLP chip :

On April 15, TI announced the DLP DLP3000-Q1 chip with the following advantages and features:
- 0.3 "WVGA Digital Micromirror Device
- the largest angle of view among similar devices on the market is up to 12 degrees.
- implements virtual images with a depth of 2-20 meters when using augmented reality
- can be used with LEDs or lasers
- has remarkable color accuracy that does not degrade over time
- the technology does not use polarized light, so the driver has the opportunity to use polarizing glasses.
A short video shows the use of the indicator on the windshield of a car.
The driver sees everything you need to know - speed, road hazards, oncoming traffic, etc. - while he does not take his eyes off the road or even change the focus of his eyes. With an indicator on the car windshield, important information appears in front of the driver’s eyes somewhere between the windshield and the road.
