In August 2014, information appeared on the network that Stephen Spielberg was planning to revive the science fiction film "Minority Report" in the form of a television series. The information was confirmed - the Fox Broadcasting Company television network gave the green light to the start of filming. The project will be undertaken by Amblin Television studio, founded by the director of the original film, and the script will be written by Max Borenstein, who participated in the creation of the 2014 Godzilla film.

The original Minority Report film was directed by Steven Spielberg in 2002, raised more than $ 358 million worldwide with a budget of $ 102 million, and won an Oscar for best sound. The main role was played by Tom Cruise. The film shows a variant of preventive justice , when employees of a special police department arrest a suspect before committing a crime based on data from three mutants who can see the future.

The series takes place ten years after the dissolution of the Preventive Justice Division in the District of Columbia. One of the three mutants began to live a “normal” human life, but he is still haunted by visions of the future. The mutant meets a detective who can find application for this gift.

The fantastic thriller is based on the story of Philip Kindred Dick , who saw the light in 1956.
