Demand for the device exceeded the requested amount by 16 times! It was promised to be sent to all participants in October. But due to the large number of dispatches, the devices dragged on for 2 months due to the unprepared logistics for so many packages. Everything was sent via DHL and EMS. I received my copy in mid-December.
And here is the smartpen in my hands. Packaging is very thoughtful and effective.
Inside the package is a pen, a cap, a spare rod, a MicroUSB cable, a brief guide, and a 64-page notebook.
Also 5 more large notebooks A5 with a transparent cover were ordered.
You need to stop at two positions: the core and the notebook. The core uses a metal type Zebra 4C, which can be purchased at most office supply stores.
But the notebook is unusual. The fact is that smartpen scans information during the writing process, and a drawing is applied to the coordinates on paper. Because of this, it has a slightly beige hue. An early beta program of NeoPDF for windows ^ has already been released where you can cook yourself, let's say ready-made forms for filling. True, while the program has very limited functionality.
The software works on iOS (7.1 and above) and Android (4.1.2 and above). Communication with the fountain pen is via BlueTooth v4. On the smartphone it is supported from v2.1.
The fountain pen has a microUSB connector on the front side, on the “front” side there is a power indicator that changes color, depending on the one selected in the application, on the back side is a power button. On the writing side, the scanner rod and window.
The power button is used to turn the pen on and off, as well as to enter the pairing mode. If you turn off the fountain pen to touch any surface, it will automatically turn on. Also in the application, you can set the shutdown time when idle.

Remember the color and thickness "for the future" is impossible, at least in the current version of the firmware.
Handwritten text can be transcoded. English, Korean, Chinese and Japanese are currently supported.
You can send the current page in 4 types: PNG, PDF, TEXT, SVG.
Importantly, the application can enable automatic synchronization with the evernote application. Each page from the application appears in evernote as a separate note. When adding information on the page, the note is also updated. When you click on the “play” icon, the video will be played, as the information appeared on the page. There you can add voice accompaniment for comments.
