In 2014, carbon dioxide emissions, unlike the economy, did not increase

If you believe climate scientists, then at the moment the climate on Earth is undergoing warming, which, according to some experts, is associated with human activity. According to this view, carbon dioxide emissions due to industrial activities create a greenhouse effect that increases the temperature of the planet.
A study by the International Energy Agency (IEA) shows that in 2014, despite a 3% economic growth, the amount of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere did not change. It is not yet clear whether this is a simple fluctuation, or whether the situation is really starting to change.
Reasons for not increasing CO 2 emissionsmay be different. This is an increase in the use of renewable energy sources, and a decrease in coal consumption by China. It is possible that the use of fossil fuels has already passed its peak. According to a recent study, the peak in the use of fossil fuels will be reached no later than 10 years later, after which the reduction will begin.
The amount of gas emissions into the atmosphere during the observations in the IEA decreased only three times. This was in the early 1980s, in 1992 and in 2009 - all these years have been marked by serious economic crises.
Interestingly, not all scientists agree with the influence of human activities on warming, and even with the very fact of the presence of this warming. For example, warming may be due to the natural cycles of the planet when a period of high temperature sets in between the two ice ages. Some even believe that the Kyoto Protocol , under which some countries have pledged to reduce emissions and introduced quota trading, is used to pressure developing countries and curb their production.
