- Tutorial
After the next release of software updates from MakerBot, we decided to study in detail the proposed innovations.
The company announced an updated user interface for Makerbot Desktop 3.7. In it we found many new tabs with 3D printing settings. Perhaps an advanced user of a 3D printer will find ease of use in this, since everything before your eyes and setup takes less time.
But our case concerned the work on the 3D printer MakerBot Replicator Mini . After the next update of the printer firmware , we found an undocumented opportunity to improve printing.
Here is a copy from PLA plastic manufactured by MakerBot, printed with a layer thickness of 100 micronsin 10 hours .

To compare the quality of 3D printing, we present a model of a typewriter printed with a usual layer thickness of 200 microns .

To repeat our experience, you need to open the application Makerbot Desktop 3.7 :

The menu Devices go to submenu Select Type of Device and select the printer Makerbot the Mini :

To expose the value of 0.10 mm to configure Layer the Height , as shown in the illustration
