Amazon for $ 59.99 per year offers unlimited cloud

Today, Amazon announced two plans, Unlimited Photos and Unlimited Everything, for storing data on Amazon Cloud Drive. The second of them does not even offer 10 or 100 terabytes, but a truly unlimited data storage for any files for $ 5 per month or $ 59.99 per year. Unlimited Photos offers the same unlimited volume, but only for image files for $ 11.99 per year. In addition to the photos of this tariff plan, 5 GB of storage for any other types of files is attached for free.

Both tariff plans can be tested for strength for three months for free. To synchronize files, both desktop applications for Windows or Mac, as well as mobile applications for iOS and Android, are offered. You can download the downloaded file without having an account with Amazon. Amazon Cloud Drive previously offered users 5 GB for free. This was followed by a line of tariffs, starting from $ 10 per year for 20 GB of cloud and ending with 1 TB for $ 500.

Earlier, a similar offer unlimited storage in the cloud acted Bitcasa company. Those who were interested were offered to issue such a tariff plan for $ 100 per year, but after a few months they changed their minds. According to service statistics, the word "unlimited" turned out to be just an unnecessary exaggeration: only 0.5% of users found more than 1 TB to fill out, and only 0.1% were not too lazy to use more than 10 TB. As a result, due to the migration of data to the new platform on November 15 of last year, all such accounts were deleted.
