Gamedev Performance Videos at HSE Lecture Hall

    In March of this year, a series of lectures on the gaming industry was held as part of the HSE lecture hall. Lectures were given by teachers of the Game Project Management Program at the Higher School of Economics, Higher School of Economics. Under the cut, I have collected for you videos, links to abstracts and a brief description of all reports .


    The lecturer was opened by Sergey Zykov, marketer and teacher of educational programs in the gaming industry at the Higher School of Economics, Higher School of Economics. He told the guests how game developers are involved in marketing about the past, present and future of marketing in the gaming industry .

    After that, on March 14, the second speaker made a speech - Sergey Golubkin, also a teacher of the aforementioned program, ex-producer of Ubisoft, owner of the board games publishing house Gemenot. His report was on the topic “The evolution of team management in the gaming industry ”, in which he highlighted issues such as whether the game developer always needs a team, what types of teams exist in the gaming industry, how to form a team and how to manage it.

    And on March 21, the final lecture was conducted by Vyacheslav Utochkin, director of educational programs for the gaming industry at the Higher School of Economics, Higher School of Economics. His report was dedicated to one of the topics of current interest - virtual reality in the gaming industry . It was about the types of realities, the game design of VR games, about what hinders the creation of games in virtual reality, the challenges that game designers face, and, of course, the non-gaming areas of application of VR and AR.
