Fortinet Getting Started Course
- Tutorial

More recently, we published the article “ Which firewall is the best?” Leaders among UTM and Enterprise Firewalls (Gartner 2017) . ” There we indicated that Fortinet is among the leaders in both the NGFW segment and the UTM category. We also published two articles ( part 1 and part 2 ) on how you can perform a free network security audit using Fortinet solutions . For some, this information is enough to form their point of view about these remedies. However, most technicians need more detailed information with a detailed description of the device functions. That is why we decided to create a small authoring course “ Fortinet Getting Started" The author of the course is Chingis Taltayev. The course itself was held in webinar format and its entries were posted on our YouTube channel :
As part of this mini course, you will become familiar with Fortinet architecture solutions. For the most part, we will be talking about the flagship product - FortiGate. The main advantages, technological differences, functionality and much more will be considered. Almost every lesson contains a graphical interface demonstration with detailed explanations. A large piece of the course is dedicated to Fortinet WiFi. Security features are also discussed in detail: Anti-Virus, URL filtering, Application Control, IPS, FortiSandbox and so on.
I will not describe in detail the content of the lessons, so as not to duplicate the same information. I am sure that if someone is interested in Fortigate's solution, he will find comprehensive information here.
For those who love full-time study, I am pleased to announce that soon we will start free Fortinet courses, which will include a large amount of practice. So far, training is planned in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In addition, I am pleased to announce that the TS Solution team is joining forces with the NTC Training Center . NTC is one of the leading training centers in the IT market in Russia and has the status of an authorized training center for vendors such as Check Point, Imperva, Forcepoint, etc. I think together we can significantly improve the quality of training, supplementing it with examples and cases from real life. Thanks for attention!
