Technocub 2017-2018
Every year, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation publishes a list of school competitions that provide benefits for admission to universities. Since 2015, this list also includes Technocub - the programming olympiad under the auspices of the Mail.Ru Group.
Students in grades 8-11 can participate in the Technocup. The Olympics allows children to evaluate their strengths and communicate with professionals in the IT industry, and most importantly, gives them a chance to enter the leading specialized universities in Russia.
In the 2017/18 academic year, the Technocup became the II level Olympiad. Each university determines the benefit on its own - this may be the maximum score in computer science or enrollment without entrance examinations. Judging about the benefits for the current year can be based on last year's privileges: as a rule, this information is available on the websites of universities. Information is also here .
You can register for the Technocub until November 12th . Absentee qualifying rounds will be held September 17 , October 15 and November 12 . In order to get to the final, it is enough to win in one of the three qualifying rounds. For those interested, examples and analysis of tasks of past years:

On the eve of each qualifying round online orientation rounds are held. They are needed so that students understand the Codeforces platform , on the basis of which the main stages are held. During the familiarization rounds, you can practice two simple tasks; their results will not affect the final rating.
The full-time final will take place in March 2018 at two Moscow venues: at the MSTU. N. E. Bauman and MIPT. Awarding of the winners will take place at the office of Mail.Ru Group.
Each year, about 3 thousand schoolchildren from Russia and the CIS countries participate in the Technocub. In total, during the existence of the Olympiad, more than 7 thousand people took part in it.
Participants who won the first three places, in addition to benefits on admission, will receive valuable prizes. In addition, the finalists who fall into the MSTU. N.E. Bauman and at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology will receive privileges upon admission to the Technopark and Technotrek - free practice-oriented educational projects of Mail.Ru Group.
The organizing committee of the Olympiad is Dmitry Grishin, chairman of the board of directors and co-founder of Mail.Ru Group. The co-chairs of the organizing committee are the rector of MIPT N. N. Kudryavtsev and the rector of MSTU. N.E. Bauman A.A. Alexandrov. The chairman of the jury is Mikhail Mirzayanov, senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematical Foundations of Informatics and Olympiad Programming, Saratov State University, founder and CEO of Codeforces , twice silver medalist at the ACM-ICPC world programming championship.
