Welcome to the NeuroHack Hackathon on August 5

We invite everyone to take part in a hackathon for scientists specializing in the fields of neurology, neurorehabilitation, the study of higher nervous activity, neuroscience for sports, etc., as well as developers, programmers, engineers and marketers involved in the creation of AI, machine learning technologies, neural networks , computer vision and video / audio streaming processing. The hackathon will go 48 hours, from 5 to 7 August. Mail.Ru Group has established one of the hackathon nominations, it will be more suitable for a team making a mass product for an ordinary user. Our company will award 250 000 rubles to the winner in the nomination for the development of its project. Under the cut - a list of topics of interest to us and details of participation in the hackathon.

Participants will need to unite in teams and create prototypes of products in the following nominations:

1. A neurophoto camera is a complex of a gadget and a smartphone application that removes what you are interested in.
2. Delete background - in selfie mode, the application changes the arbitrary background on the video.
3. Automatic filters and cropping photos - a photo application that independently frames and selects the most successful filter.
4. Replacing faces in movies with the user's face is an application similar to MSQRD.
5. Face Search is an application that looks for which of the characters in the classics' paintings look like you.
6. Drawing of pictures is an application in which you can choose from the palette “grass”, “water”, “sky”, drive with your finger and - it turns out like an artist’s.
7. An application that reveals the characteristics of the psyche of photography.
8. An application that shows in real time how you or your girlfriend will age.
9. An audio translator application that plays your own voice.
10. Creating music by neural networks , for example, auto-writing music for a video clip.
11. An application that changes the spoken text to the voice of a famous person , for example, Stalin.

It will also be necessary to calculate the volume of the market and create a business model of the product, develop a presentation and a plan for launching it on the market.

Before the start of the hackathon, participants will be able to listen to speeches on the following topics:

• Market review: opportunities and prospects in neuromarketing, data analysis, brain-computer interfaces.
• Technologies for the market of neurotechnologies.
• Examples of projects created on the basis of data obtained by neuroscientists.

Based on the results of the competition, the jury will select the best projects, the authors of which will be awarded prizes from our partners and will be able to continue working on projects in the HSE Lab. The hackathon is supported by the Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation, RVC, Mail.Ru Group, the organization MONT and Neuronet.
