Prosecutor General's Office blocked two more anonymizers

By the decision of the Prosecutor General of Roskomnadzor blocked two anonymizer social network "VKontakte» - Netzamku.ru and Vkho.ru . More precisely, we are talking about separate URLs (netzamku.ru/misanthropic_info and vkho.ru/misanthropic_info) leading to the VKontakte page of the extremist group Misanthropic Division. The prosecutor general’s office has already blocked all sites of this organization.

Recall that not all providers have a DPI system for thin blocking. Therefore, they have to block access to the entire site at its IP address.

Earlier, at the request of the Prosecutor General, the administration of the VKontakte network closed access to the grouping page from the territory of Russia. Therefore, from Russia this page could only be accessed with the help of an anonymizer, CNews reports .

Proposals to ban anonymizers have already been made in the State Duma. At the end of February , Leonid Levin, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy , made a proposal on pre-trial blocking of anonymizers : “Perhaps this would not only allow restricting access to information prohibited through anonymous networks, but would also expand the possibilities for counteracting the commercial spread of malware and illegal access to computer information. ”

But so far they are not prohibited by law. Cases where the anonymizer falls into the registry of banned sites are not uncommon. In late May, according to the decision of the city court of Anapa, Krasnodar region, was introduced to the blacklist Roskomnadzor project "Roskomsvoboda" Pirate Party of Russia - supposedly on the site were found anonymizer. However, representatives of the Pirate Party claimed that only instructions on circumventing Roskomnadzor locks were present on the site.

In March, Megamind wrotethat the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov doubts the effectiveness of blocking anonymizers. He believes that their ban will not solve the problem of bypassing access blocking sites. He proposes to first study in detail all the ways to gain access to resources blocked in Russia, and then make suggestions.
