Associated Press will refer to bloggers

The news agency Associated Press in a  letter to its subscribers announced that it will begin to put links to blogs in its news, if they are the primary sources of information. Previously, the agency in its news referred only to print media, websites and television and radio companies.

Separately, the place in the material in which the link will be located is specified. This does not have to be the beginning of the text - the link can also be in the middle of the news.

Interestingly, according to sociologists, almost all journalists and editors use social networks and blogs as sources of information for their materials. For example, according to a studyconducted in the USA by Cision and George Washington University, 89% of journalists use blogs to find information, 65% use social networks, 61% use Wikipedia, and 52% use microblogging platforms like Twitter.
