Android smartphone shipments down for the first time
According to the estimates of the research company ABI Research , in the fourth quarter of last year, 206 million Android smartphones were released, and in the third quarter this figure was 217 million. For the first time in the history, shipments of Android smartphones have declined.

IPhone shipments in the fourth quarter, in the pre-New Year period, increased by 90% compared with the third quarter and amounted to 74.5 million units. Shipments of devices on Windows Phone grew by 19% - up to 10.7 million.
The total number of shipped gadgets compared to the third quarter of last year increased by 7% and amounted to 378 million units.
