Elastix High Availability - a solution for building a cluster of two automatic telephone exchanges

Elastix developers have introduced a new High Availability solution designed to build a failover cluster between two servers with Elastix installed. "High Availability" is installed as an add-on and does not require in-depth knowledge of linux administration for its configuration, it is argued that even an unprepared system administrator can configure it. image

The following operation parameters are declared:
    - Switching from the master to the second server for 3-4 seconds.
    - Servers must be of similar configuration, virtual solutions are allowed.
    - Settings between servers are replicated automatically.
    - Only 2 servers can be combined into a cluster (for now, in the future they will increase).
    - You can make a second server on a virtual server, which will be quite cheap and there will be no downtime in the event of a failure.
    - Continuous monitoring of replication status between servers and user notifications.
    - Easy configuration of server roles, in one click the role can be changed.
    - There is a SPLIT-BRAIN function, in which you can install the role of a secondary server on both servers, remove the server with damaged data and restore communication, after which the cluster will resume operation.

The module is installed via the command line:
    yum install elastix-highAvailability

After that, the “High Availability” item appears in the web interface of the server, there you need to enter an activation code and then drive in the parameters of your network and the address of the second server. Then do all this on the second server and the cluster is ready.

And finally: there is a solution of $ 200 for each server in the cluster.
