Non-standard city for non-standard people: Innopolis architecture guide
As soon as you enter the territory of the city of Innopolis, you will feel that everything is different here. In a new way. Architects worked hard on the atmosphere in the city. In many ways, it is unusual buildings that are considered an integral source of inspiration for its citizens. We decided to share this feeling with everyone we have never had before. And whoever lives and studies here probably did not suspect what inspired the architects themselves to create such solutions.

What is the best in Innopolis? The first thing that comes is functionality and proximity to nature. In modern architecture, originality is appreciated. But often it is at the expense of landscape, culture or local traditions. In Innopolis managed to create a community aimed at connecting with nature. And at the same time, the city remained attractive for living. This connection was harmoniously managed to convey to the Thai architect Tai Liu Keru. When developing the master plan of the city, he took into account the features of the area. The site itself dictates a special approach to design - the surrounding rocky shores, the Volga and Sviyaga rivers, forests and mountains. The implementation of his master plan has already been entrusted to Russian specialists. The appearance of the buildings and the improvement of the new territory was handled by a company from Kazan - Innopolis Architect. At first, the architects themselves did not fully believe that all futuristic ideas will be translated into reality. But in the end, their work was not just a concept in the form of a layout, but a well-established city.
Innopolis University

The first association that emerges when a university is seen is a spaceship. Of course, now it’s hard to surprise someone with the glass design of the facades. But the architect got rid of monotony by playing with reliefs. The building seems to bend - wavy lines either grow or fade away. Which ultimately doesn't exactly look boring. Smooth lines imitate the natural landscape and repeat the terrain. The console system elevates the university. One gets the impression that its entire massive volume hovers above the ground.
If you study at the most modern university, where advanced professors from all over the world share their knowledge and experience, then the situation should also be conducive to continuous improvement. Inside the building there is a lot of light and space. This is one large atrium. The internal situation consists of passages, which are the main “transport arteries”. The meeting rooms soaring in the air are mesmerizing. And it is no coincidence that architects chose green and white colors. Unity with nature can be traced throughout the concept of the city of Innopolis.
The rational layout of the building made it possible to place here both a university and a comprehensive school, which was opened on September 1. At the same time, neither students nor schoolchildren interfere in each other's educational process. Now 40 children attend school. They study in such small classes.
The task of the architects was to create a special environment where teachers and students could interact as comfortably as possible. Therefore, it is not surprising if, right at the lecture, the student allows himself to sit on a huge puff with a laptop. Indeed, in addition to the usual classrooms and classes, there is an open lecture hall where there are no familiar desks. Instead, soft ottomans.
When you go to the library, as if you are in a separate building. The architects preserved the same materials and colors here, but the atmosphere gives the impression of a completely different reality. The library and reading room occupy 3 floors. Spiral staircase atrium is their heart.
A nice bonus for everyone who sometimes needs peace and quiet - closed work areas, from which it turns out just the perfect corner of the introvert.
University students are incredibly lucky. Even in cloudy weather, they don’t have to go outside. Directly from the university building, they can get to their hostel through special passages. One tunnel connects the academic building with 4 student campuses.
Student Campus

The dormitory composition of the campus continues. On their facades, as in the design of the university, a plastic game is used. For the cladding, rock panels were used, imitating a tree of different shades, from which a mosaic was made. The panels themselves are heat-protective, they are made of stone wool and have a high level of fire resistance.
At the entrance to the hostel is an atrium. It seems to cut open the inner space, due to which a lot of light appears inside.
Housing is just a dream for any student. The rooms have everything you need - new furniture, a kitchen, a bathroom and even air conditioning. The conditions are quite consistent with 3-star hotels. And weekly the rooms are cleaned by a cleaning company. Two types of rooms are available - designed for 2 people and 5 people.
Sports complex

Perhaps the most mysterious building in Innopolis is a sports complex. It very well reflects the specifics of the city - high technology. The architect took as a basis the principle of mathematical logic. According to the linear equation, the size of the windows decreases from the center of the facade to the edges of the building.
And inside is a modern sports center. With a swimming pool, a bath complex, gyms and cardio halls, as well as a hall for playing sports.
Technopark of the special economic zone "Innopolis" named after

Judging by the posts on Instagram, the corps of them. A.S. Popova is the most “stellar” object of Innopolis. An expressive architectural creation has the shape of a ring, inside of which in the summer you can observe landscaped lawns and flower beds. All the filling of the building - from the facade to the interior inside the building - everything interacts with each other and reflects the very system of nature.
Technopark has a round shape. The architects foresaw the moment that it was easy to get lost in such a building and made convenient navigation. The technopark is conditionally divided into three different zones, which symbolize stone, wood and greenery. And of course, each zone is illustrated with motifs and materials of organic elements.
Residential complex

The artistic idea of the residential complex is to create a natural ensemble, the elements of which are not similar to each other. Indeed, in nature, everything is unique and there is no room for repetition. It is no coincidence that the buildings have a bright green, white and wood color. If you look closely at the facades of residential buildings, you can see the similarities with the binary code. It was digital technology that inspired architects to design residential buildings in the city of the future.
The residential complex was built on the principle of enclosed courtyards with multifunctional playgrounds and a ban on parking cars. The headache of big cities with a lack of parking spaces here is solved by the presence of underground parking.
In Innopolis, 16 houses were built, 4 of which are already inhabited. Apartments for rent are fully ready for living with all necessary appliances and furniture. It is enough to get the keys and you can call in, and the key can be either a fingerprint or an ACS key, or a familiar piece of metal.
In Innopolis, you can feel the delights of suburban life, while being within the city. Residents are offered three types of townhouses - with a separate entrance, parking space and land.
PS Ecological
In an innovative city, everything must be innovative. And even transport. Soon, an electric bus will begin to ride through the streets of the city. Instead of fuel tanks, it is equipped with a powerful electric accumulator. Like in general, electric cars in Innopolis are not uncommon.
