Today Microsoft announced the launch of Visual Studio Code. This is a cross-platform editor for working with the modern .NET stack. Visual Studio Code will run on OS X , Linux, and Windows . The application is already available for download .
Visual Studio Code boasts all the features that are present in modern editors, including auto-completion, snippets and support for version control systems. The editor supports several languages and technologies, among them: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, C # and ASP.NET 5.
