Service Ahoba.co became a nominee in the competition "Startup of the Year 2014"!

Yesterday, November 17, a list of projects that were selected to participate in the Startup of the Year 2014 contest was announced. In total, 342 applications were submitted, of which 155 projects were selected to participate in the competition, including our service Ahoba.co - http://award.inc.hse.ru/nominants2014

in our nomination “Best Internet startup” ( and there are six nominations in total: Global Startup, Team of the Year, Best Hardware Startup, Best Internet Startup, Best Fintech Startup, Socially Important Startup) 40 participants. In the next round, the jury will select 3-4 of them to participate in the final. Let's wait with our fingers crossed!

Fun fact: Our designer Seryoga twice this year participates in this competition ... The first, as you might guess, is part of the Ahoba.co project team, and the second is as the interface designer of another startup that won the award nominees. This is the project “Hello? I'm running! ” - a service whose interfaces Sergey developed as an outsourcer-freelancer. Moreover, this project is in the same nomination “Best Internet Startup” as our project Ahoba.co. About the Startup of the Year Award

This competition was organized by the HSE Business Incubator. The history of the event begins in 2008 and has been going on for 7 years. Every year, the Startup of the Year Prize is awarded to the most outstanding projects evaluated by the business community. This year, the Startup of the Year 2014 award was organized with the support of RVC and Sberbank of Russia.

The main objective of the Prize is to encourage the most successful and interesting entrepreneurial undertakings. To note the professional approach to creating a new business, evaluate the success of bright startups and motivate young entrepreneurs to conquer new business peaks.

“Startup of the Year” is a kind of “Oscar” for startups, a spectacular and interesting show. At the award ceremony, viewers will be able to not only familiarize themselves with success stories of young entrepreneurs and watch videos about nominee projects, but also vote for startups they like.
