As they say, better late than never. Very, very late, but Google still made the option of voice calls from the Hangouts chat interface. From today, we can call from Hangouts for Android, iOS, and over the web.
Calls to other Hangouts users are free, just like calls to numbers in the US and Canada, and Google’s international rates are traditionally very low .
To try a new feature for Android, you need to install the latest version of Hangouts (version 2.3 is needed), then install the Hangouts Dialer “dialer” to activate voice communication.
Even before the official announcement, some users began to receive notifications with a proposal to combine Google Voice and Hangouts.
