Git Live service displays real-time activity on GitHub
A Massachusetts student Anish Athalye made an interesting visualization of GitHub activity. GitLive allows you to see in real time the activity of users from around the world.

In order for events to be displayed, you need to wait a bit, as this is real-time. To fade the information about the event, you just need to move the mouse.
GitLive tracks the following activities on GitHub: issues, pull requests, forks, stars.
