10 million connection problem
A few days ago, Robert Graham began work on a series of articles on the C10M and plans to finish work in July this year.
The following chapters are already available today :
In the chapter on multiprocessing scaling, Graham talks about, among other things, the new features of Haswell processors; here I wanted to talk about another news.
In 2007, in Switzerland, with the support of Microsoft Research, the development of the experimental multi-processor operating system Barrelfish began, which uses some features, such as CAS2. It is still far from even minimal use, however, sources under the MIT license are available .
