KolibriOS digest # 2: what February brought us

    A month has passed since the release of the first issue of our digest. All this month, no matter what, our community worked on KolibriOS. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I could not publish the digest on the last day of winter, and yet meet KolibriOS Digest # 2.

    System-wide changes:


    • Removing the USB host controller code from the kernel to the drivers.
    • Increased speed with flash drives as a result of combining gears.
    • PCnet32, i8254x, R6040 drivers translated into PE format.
    • Fixed rendering of windows with a fixed size at a small window height.
    • INTEL HDA: fixing errors caused by accessing uninitialized memory.
    • VMware SVGA II: reduced screen refresh rate; hardware cursor is on.
    • box_lib: clipboard support for input fields (Editbox component).


    Changes in application software:


    • ac97snd : fix m3u playlists.
    • IRCС : correct message output if you were kicked / banned on the channel.
    • HTMLv : error page; history of visits and cached images; error correction; request pages in the native language (Russian and English)



    • Tinypad : clipboard fix.
    • loaddrv : a system utility to run drivers.
    • TERMINAL : utility for "communication" with devices through a serial port (com-port).

    • FoxHunt : a logical game.
      Details
      FoxHunt is a logical game whose goal is to search for four foxes on a field of 8 by 8 cells in as few moves as possible. When you select a cell using the left mouse button, the number of foxes appears vertically, horizontally and two diagonals (see figure). By clicking the right mouse button, you can set or unmark the alleged fox. After setting the fourth mark, the correct selection of cells is checked.
