New Year Reporting Habrapost - 2014

So, for the umpteenth time on our planet in general and on Habré in particular, the new year has come, which means that the time has come to take stock of the past 12 months. The tradition of reporting blog posts by Intel has been around for two years, which means that this time we can not only show the statistics of 2013, but also compare it with the previous one, 2012. We have another piece of news: we decided to reward the most active commentators on our blog with small but with very real prizes! 2013 in numbers and posts, as well as the names of the lucky - under the cut.
I'll start with a solemn speech. The Intel blog team last year may well be proud of the work done. A good megabyte of useful information was issued on the mountain, which was deservedly appreciated. Look at the results of 2013 compared to 2012. As you can see, the number of authors has slightly decreased, but the number of posts written by them, on the contrary, has sharply increased. Particularly pleased with the progress in the field of "best sellers" (rating +100 or more). Well, in general, we added almost all indicators. We promise not to stop there!
Indicator | 2012 | 2013 |
---|---|---|
Number of authors | 29th | 25 |
Number of posts | 109 | 139 |
Number of posts +50 and more | 12 | thirteen |
Number of posts +100 and more | 0 | 6 |
Average number of comments per post (total) | 30 (3243) | 29 (3985) |
Average views per post (total) | 15800 (1.7 million) | 19100 (2.7 million) |
Average number of favorites per post | 62 | 70 |
Average post rating | 25 | 29th |
It is curious, by the way, to see what interest in posts in 2012 is quite significant time after their release? Having recounted the data for 2012, we found out that on average about 3000 more people watched each post of this year in 2013. As they say, quality information does not go out. Well, two posts received almost ten times more views! Here they are, leaders in the nomination "long-livers":
- Mind games. Understanding Intel HD graphics. And play? - author vikky13
- Intel 7 Series Chipsets - Comparative Review - By Saul
Now about our heroes. Here are the best posts of the past year:
- Highest rating , as well as most views - Why is the frequency not growing? by TechThink
- The maximum number of comments is 15 things of today that our children will not find , by yurav
- Most Adds to Favorites - Obtain Intel Programming Certificates from the comfort of home , written by hshhhhh
Traditional additional nominations, positive and not very:
- The longest post is Hardware Virtualization. Theory, Reality, and Support in Processor Architectures by Atakua
- Post with the longest title - Writing multi-threaded applications for a Windows store using Intel Threading Building Blocks - now with a DLL by vpolin
- Post containing the most pictures - Create a 3D game prototype in 60 minutes using Project Anarchy by Saul (translation)
- This year we have one post with a negative rating - Shave off the mustache - save the planet . But we still like him :)
- The most controversial post, which received many positive and negative reviews - Digital-lenses from Intel & Mail.Ru Group - take a look at the world in a new way! Well, for the April Fools ’draw, such a result is perhaps even honorable.

The team of Intel bloggers from Nizhny Novgorod with a festive blogotor
Well, finally, the promised list of winners-commentators. We selected 13 people who commented on the most posts from the Intel blog - here they are:
In the near future we will contact each of the winners and discuss the details of the gift delivery. Unfortunately, the Russian office of Intel has the ability to send goods only within the Russian Federation and (with difficulty) to a number of countries of the former Union - this will have to be taken into account.
Congratulations again on the upcoming 2014 year! Creative success to all of you, Habralyudi!
