MAX 2013 (photo at 50 mb)

On Thursday, I was able to visit MAKS 2013 . Then there was still a business part of the exhibition, so I managed to see the exposition without the record crowds that the salon gathered on the weekend.

I took a lot of photos there, and decided to arrange them in a new form of photo report - in GIF. Usually inside pavilions, without a uniform background, it is difficult to remove any technological pieces or their layouts - parts are lost due to an excess of details behind the main subject. I think the animation will help to better shape the idea of objects.
    Traffic - 55 mb.

Give time to download all the images, and get started.

The territory of the air show is conditionally divided into three parts: an exposition on an open field - there were planes, helicopters, air defense systems and one airship; closed pavilions - manufacturers of components and equipment were represented there, Roscosmos had its own pavilion; and the third part is a field for observing flights.

In the photo of Resursa-P, I sketched an approximate diagram of my route:

It was not lucky with the weather - it was cloudy, shooting in the open air did not bode as colorful, therefore, in the hope that it would turn out good, I first went to the pavilions. (As it became clear after a couple of days, my “unlucky weather” did not compare with how people were unlucky with her on Saturday ).

On the way to the pavilions, air defense radars waved their hands in greeting, flying airplanes:

    Air defense

There were S-300, S-400, "Tunguska", it seems "Buki", but I'm not a fan of the means of destruction of their own kind, so I did not pay much attention to them.

Only such a tricky thing seemed funny:

    Agate

I can imagine what a formidable weapon you can turn an ordinary container ship if you clog it with such "containers".

The contents of the pavilions were primarily of interest to professionals who are already building something in the aerospace industry or are going to do it, but there was something to see.

Modern perspective Ka-62 helicopter (it turned out to be a mockup :()

A glance into the cockpit pleased the modern interior with the absence of dozens of dials of any meters.

Missile parts were found even before the space pavilion.
The legendary engine NK-33, which never reached the moon as a part of the rocket H1, but forty years later found a second life on the American private Antares rocket ,

and these exhibits are another reason to recall the US private space program.

These are purge models of two circuits that could become a worthy competitor for GrashopperSpaceX company. These are the two types of returnable first stages of the Russian Angara launch vehicle. During the launch of the rocket, they should work as booster blocks, then disconnect at an altitude of about 70 km, and make an airplane landing at ordinary airfields. Given the current development of drones, the scheme should be a very simple and elegant way to reduce the cost of orbital launches.

This is what the complete missile assembly should look like:

    Baikal
    Baikal

Judging by the name, its landing was supposed to be somewhere around Lake Baikal, subject to launches from Baikonur.

    The usual "hangar"

The only problem is that the "Grasshopper" by Elon Musk is already jumping all over Texas, and we have only been carrying models from exhibition to exhibition for more than 10 years. But back in 2001, Oleg Sokolov, a representative of the Khrunichev center, emphasized that Baikal enjoyed great attention of foreign experts at the MAKS-2001 aerospace show:
In practice, we have completed negotiations on the development of such a stage for the Arian-5 European launch vehicle space agency, are in talks with US firms Boeing and Lockheed . " Hmm ... and the Baikal cart is still there.

Energia brought a prototype of the PPTS, a promising ship, which should become a replacement for the Union and provide the possibility of delivering crews to the moon and beyond.

The layout is far from reliable, for example, nozzles on the body are stickers. To view the interior, a ladder was provided for the entrance hatch, but she always had a special person on duty who allowed to see only special people, among whom I did not enter.

NPO Lavochkina demonstrated several models of their devices that are already flying or preparing for flight.

And here is the only closest interplanetary hope of Russia - Luna-25. Previously, it was given the unfortunate name "Luna Globe", but then it was the courage to continue the Soviet numbering, recognizing continuity with that era.

In the background is depicted - “Lunar Test Site” - the concept of an automatic research base, which is nurtured in NPOL.

Recently it became known that the launch of the Moon-25 is again delayed. At first they talked about 2015, now “Not earlier than 2016”.

Very few exhibits resembled GLONASS. Apparently still everyone there is impressed by the recent launch. Only such equipment was found:

Keldysh Research Center presented a model of its advanced development - a nuclear missile.

    Readable version of the poster

    Rocket

Although it’s more correct to call it an ionolet, since its nuclear reactor generates electricity, and it already accelerates the working fluid in ion-powered engines. But since they themselves write "rocket launcher", then we can.

Satisfied with the models, I went to a stationary exhibition of existing models.

Started with the historical part. This MiG-3, as far as I know, is a complete working replica. Probably only military weapons are not enough. But he flies for sure.

Then in the sky there was a roar of engines, and the European Rafal fighter appeared in the air.

The flight program has begun, which means it's time to go to the observation field.
On the way I looked at small aircraft.

These gyroscopes resembled light scooters. UPD: Unfortunately, prices are still significantly higher than motorcycles.

And this is an ordinary glider. Attention was drawn to the fact that it is tied (!) To the ground. It seems to really lift him into the air with a strong gust of wind.

UAV manufacturers seem to draw inspiration from Hitler’s Secret Projects:

As I walked toward the field, the Mi-24VM was spinning in the sky (the export version is called the Mi-35M)

    Mi-24

When my goal was reached, the giant Airbus A380-800 rolled onto the runway. The aircraft was struck by its size and characteristics in terms of capacity - up to 853 people, while it has a very short mileage on takeoff and landing. Of course, at the exhibition he flew empty, but it should be a very successful car.

Two more Russian planes flew off.

    One of them is Tu-214:

The highlight of the program, of course, was military aircraft. Civilian pilots were even a little sorry, they tried as best they could, but they realized that they would never break so many ovations and enthusiastic screams as did “drying” and “instant”.

    On the desktop,

MiGs, of course, fully justify their name - they rush like mad, refusing to get into focus. The “dryers” have several tricks that allow them to practically hang in the air, so it’s easier to focus.

Light aircraft flew into the sky: the modernized foreign car An-2-100 and other Trotters.

Unfortunately, time was running out and I had to go by bus. Already almost at the checkpoints, the roar of engines overtook me again and the T-50 rushed over the MAX.

The plane is certainly chic. It’s even curious how aerodynamic requirements that form the appearance of the apparatus turn out to be harmonious with the aesthetic perception of a person.

    T-50

Handsome. There are no other words.

I returned with mixed feelings. On the one hand, pride in aviation: cars fly, they are in demand all over the world. Likely, if any polymers have been lost , then they have set up production of new ones. On the other hand, with such scientific and technical potential, why the hell why can't we send a single working interplanetary station for more than twenty years, and even the state has already ordered near-Earth satellites in France ?!

However, the answer is on the surface: aviation is a competitive industry whose products are in demand and bring real money. The profit from a successful interplanetary expedition is uncertain, and image losses in the event of failure are obvious. So it turns out that nobody needs her ... except for you and me.

    Thanks
For the organization of the trip, I thank the Dauria Aerospace company and personally Liana Mashukova.
