Holho: pseudo-holographic display for smartphones and tablets

Many of us are waiting for technologies that finally allow us to use holography as shown in Star Wars and a bunch of other NF films. In general, for many years some prototypes, new technologies and so on have been appearing, but all this is disappearing from the information field while still in preparation for implementation. But on Kickstarter, a new project has appeared that could possibly satisfy the craving for holographic images. The device, called Holho, allows you to create pseudo-holographic images based on images from smartphones and tablets.

True, this is still not the holography that “hangs” in the air, without visible displays, special surfaces and other things. But still, the project is quite interesting. The Holho pyramidal structure includes reflective surfaces that create volumetric images. A striking example of what has been said may be the announcement image.

Holho also has its own application that allows you to create custom images. There is, however, one condition for such images - the background must be black.

Well, as a working tool, Holho can hardly be used (although, for presentations of various kinds of architectural projects, mechanical parts and other things - why not?). But still ahead, and, possibly, a new project that allows you to create advanced holograms right in the air, will appear on the media in a couple of weeks / months.

The cost of the gadget is low. So, the standard Holho Pyramid for a 10-inch tablet costs $ 55. The kit includes an application and video from the developers.
