Jabra Halo 2 Bluetooth stereo headset and laptop

This little post is about the experience of using a wireless stereo headset to listen to music from a laptop, as well as about a small but nasty problem with connecting and how I accidentally almost solved it. For some, this may seem obvious, but in Google I did not find an answer.

Once it turned out that I was looking for a replacement for my old headphones with a finally broken headband. There were 5 meters of wires in them, therefore, on the table between the headphones and the laptop there was a roll of this cable constantly intercepted by the wire clip. This influenced my choice towards a wireless headset. Then - as usual: google, pull the list, read reviews, chose, ordered, brought.

You can simply say about her appearance: I wouldn’t go out into the street with big headphones at all, but for the house it’s the most: not burdocks, but not plugs, it’s quite convenient. True, after 3-4 hours, the ears are slightly sore - the headset pushes. The rest is just a celebration of some kind: the wires do not dangle (the keyboard and mouse are also wireless), if you need to move away from the computer, then you do not need to remove the headphones and stop the music, if you go out to smoke, the headset also finishes. Yes, at least you can go to the toilet in it =)

Plus a fabulous thing: if the headset is discharged, you can connect it with a 3.5 mm audio output in the box (I just tried it once) or use the other cord in the box with the USB port (I always do this when I have to). In the latter case, it, accordingly, also charges in parallel with the music, incl. after some time (about 2 hours) it can again be used via bluetooth. A more convenient option is to put on charge at night.

And everything was fine, the headset was connected to any phone, it also connected to the laptop (Intel's bluetooth stack), but there was one problem: turn off the headset, then turn it back on - it does not pick up. If you climb into a bluetooth device and go into the properties of the headset, then the laptop begins to interrogate it, but to no avail - it falls off by timeout. Only one thing saved: remove the device, knock out the headset and turn it on in pairing mode (hold the button for 5 seconds immediately after turning it on), then it is added again, double-checks all the firewood in the internet and starts working. But it's really long, boring. I tried all the combinations, nothing helped.

Everything was decided simply and completely by accident: it turned out that I did not try one combination: first you need to climb into the properties of the headset, the laptop starts to look for it, and now at this point you can turn it on: it finds everything at once.
As a result, the option turned out to be not the most convenient anyway - you need to poke on the computer instead of just turning on the headset, but I have not found the best yet.

If the post helps someone - I will be glad. If someone knows what to include, so that the headset is picked up by itself, without poking on the laptop, and will write about it in the comments - I will be doubly glad =)

UPD: despite the abundance of minuscators, I will not remove the post in drafts until at least 1 person has added it in favorites. Including you can come off in full.
