JPL NASA Director Charles Elachi today mentioned the mysterious find of Curiosity on Mars. These are some “simple organic molecules”, not of biological origin.
A week ago, one of the leaders of the Curiosity project said that the SAM (Sample Analysis at Mars) mass spectrometer made a discovery of "historical importance", but it needs to be checked several times. He said NASA executives are pushing the team of researchers, who want to make a "sensational statement" as quickly as possible.
As you can see, one of the leaders could not save the information until the official press conference, which will be held on December 3.
