Amazon S3 Redirects Static Web Pages

Amazon continues to develop the functionality of static web hosting. According to the company, it is now one of the fastest growing parts of Amazon Web Services. Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) support appeared on August 31 , and yesterday, October 4, it became possible to set up a redirect for static web pages. Now, when you change the structure of the site, links and bookmarks to old URLs will work if you include a redirect in the page metadata and specify a new URL.

The HTTP 301 status code (Moved Permanently) is returned to the old address, so search engines must handle the redirect without affecting the position of the page in the search results. You can read the instructions for setting up a redirect in all possible ways here .
