The Duke's Choice Awards are a celebration of innovation in the world of Java technology. Such an award can be obtained only by the most innovative, advanced and ambitious Java-projects. This is a 10-year tradition within the community and victory is, of course, a high honor in the Java world. At one time, the winners were such well-known companies as Motorola, Terracotta, Аtlassian and Apache Software Foundation. The main criterion for the award is innovation: in our case, it is the development of the Jelastic Java Cloud cloud hosting platform .

“It is a great honor to receive the Oscar of Java technology - The Duke's Choice Award,” says Ruslan Sinitsky, founder and CEO of Jelastic. “In just a year of existence, our company has changed the course of the game in cloud computing. We offer the user automatic scaling, convenient integration with development tools, the ability to build projects in the cloud, and much more. At the same time, Jelastic hosting is available all over the world: in Russia, the USA, Germany, Great Britain and Japan. I would also like to express special thanks to all our partners, including Parallels, NGINX, GlassFish, MariaDB, Runa Capital and Almaz Capital funds, which helped us achieve this lofty goal. We will not stop there: our plans for the next year are to increase the number of hosting partners around the world, improve technology and, most importantly,

imageIt’s even more pleasant to realize that another winning project, Liquid Robotics, led by James Gosling (the “father of Java”) is also actively using the Jelastic platform for its development. More information on this can be found here .

It is difficult to describe all this delight and joy that our entire team feels. For us, this is a tremendous success and recognition from the whole Java community, which means that we are moving in the right direction.

Thanks again to all our users and readers! Thanks for the fair criticism, for the tips and ideas! Without you, this victory would have been impossible.
