In the German parliament, laptops were banned, a deputy of the Pirate Party came with a typewriter
Starting Monday, September 24th, laptops are not allowed in the regional parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . Deputies of the Pirate Party protested and promised to appeal to the Constitutional Court. In the meantime, one of the deputies Patrick Breyer (Patrick Breyer) found a way out. Instead of the traditional iPad for everyone, he brought a typewriter to the meeting .
The main reason for the ban on laptops is the excessive noise from keystrokes in parliament. Now only "mobile computers without a fan and a mechanical keyboard" are allowed, that is, tablets and smartphones. A ban was also adopted on audio and video recording from mobile devices and their use for other purposes, especially - on sending messages to Facebook and Twitter during plenary meetings.
The second member of the Pirate Party, Angelika Beer, also brought a typewriter, even more elegant.
