Starting May 26, 2015, Alfa-Bank announces the acceptance of applications for the hackathon of financial and technological projects “AlfaCamp 2.0”, which the bank conducts in conjunction with Microsoft, Visa and the IIDF accelerator. The first hackathon took place last year.
“Alfa-Bank was the first among Russian banks to conduct fintech Camp AlfaCamp 2014. This experience taught us a lot and showed the potential of such events, so we did not have to repeat it. The Visa partner company, with whose support we held the event in 2014, also supported the idea of continuation, ”comments Elena Bocharova, Head of Alfa-Bank Electronic Commerce Products Department.
“AlfaCamp 2.0” is eight weeks of intensive work of participating teams, free Microsoft software, including Azure cloud hosting resources, free developer accounts for the Windows Store, Alfa-Bank technologies and the help of bank specialists in introducing these technologies into developers' products and services. In addition, the program provides daily lectures and trainings, as well as meetings with Visa experts, to help participants with different levels of project readiness show maximum progress during AlfaCamp. ” This year, the winners will not qualify for investment, as they did last year, but for the possibility of partnership with the organizing companies.
Also a distinctive feature of the event from "AlfaCamp 2014" will be "pre-camp" - i.e. preliminary session, at which the organizers will be able to evaluate the team directly in the work process.
Like last year, AlfaCamp will be held in a specially designated program room in the center of Moscow, where teams will be able to focus on their projects. Mentors will work with teams on a daily basis to help in their work, as well as to avoid mistakes when developing a project and launching it.
