Chinese mobile browser Uc Browser. The first successes in RuNet

A few weeks ago, a user of Levsha published an article stating that the Chinese browser Uc Browser (Old name UCweb) is making global plans for the Western mobile Internet market.
The article contains outdated data and I decided to make a review based on the data provided by the managers of UC Technology Ltd. as well as their personal observations.
A little bit about the company
UC Browser, developed by UC Technology Ltd., operates on more than 200 major mobile platforms of well-known brands and 3,000 mobile terminals like Symbian, Android, Windows Mobile, Java, Win CE, Brew, MTK, iPhone, etc.
Currently, UC has already installed stand-alone servers in North America, Asia, Russia and other areas and published the main products in English, Russian and other languages, which are now used in more than 150 countries and areas of the world. At the moment, the total download volume of UC Browser on a global scale has reached more than a billion. We already have more than 300 million users from all over the world, the monthly number of page views (PV) reaches more than 120 billion. UC has become a pioneer and leader in mobile Internet applications.
Personal experience collaboration
I received a proposal for cooperation back in 2010. Manager of UC mobile Ltd. offered to place a link to their browser on my site. Cooperation was that I distribute specially made builds of their browser, and they, for their part, put a link to my site on their main page.
I placed several builds under different platforms and forgot about it. I returned to this issue at the beginning of this year. It turns out all this time that my link hung in the Symbian version of their browser.
It was decided to update the builds and start closer cooperation.
A few days later, a page was created on my sidewith the most popular platforms. A week later, a special build was made for me with Russian versions of the browser (at that time the Russian language was available only in the development of our Russian software translators). The
number of installations began to grow exponentially. Site users themselves began to recommend the browser to each other wherever possible.
Global growth statistics
The number of active users exceeds 300 million.
The number of users in Runet exceeds 3 million (we see growth on the chart below).
Per month, users view more than 120bn. pages.
The number of employees is 1400. ( 1000 was indicated in the previous article )

I was forbidden to publish other statistics, but they allowed me to show growth statistics for my servers.
Personal Growth Statistics
Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to get statistics from the beginning of cooperation.
I took two days for the experiment: 09/23/2012 and 08/23/2012. 09/23/2012
:
Ucweb: 3034632
Opera: 148362
08/23/2012:
Ucweb: 2568527
Opera : 281639
What I did not see earlier, access logs live only a month.
As you can see, Opera is losing ground very quickly. A few months ago, Opera was my top browser on my resources (9-10 places from Top 15). Today this Top is Ucweb

What did the collaboration give me?
- Less user complaints about downloading files from the site
- Complaints about uploading files to the site disappeared
- The number of site users has increased
- The number of clicks from their start page is growing every day
Conclusion
Over the past few months, something strange has been happening with mobile browsers. Some are gaining popularity, others are losing first place in the world ...
I wonder how it will all end.
If one of the readers has a popular mobile resource and wants to cooperate with UC Technology Ltd., but cannot contact them, I can help. Write to the PM.
You can download the latest version of the browser by clicking on the link wap.ucweb.com (from your mobile) or from my
