There are 500 million Android users in the world today.

Little news about Android: as it became known today, the number of activated devices based on the OS created by Google has reached a significant mark of shameful 500 million.

This was reported by Hugo Barra , director of the Android division of the search company.
In June, the number of activated devices was only 400 million.

In 2013, the 1 billionth gadget on the Android platform will be shipped, according to the global information company IHS.
