Problems with a wireless network on Lenovo IdeaPad U310 / U410 ultrabooks
In June this year, Lenovo officially announced the start of sales of its IdeaPad U310 and IdeaPad U410 ultrabooks, announced back in January at CES 2012.
As the press release says:
Products in the U Series Ultrabook branded range are slim, sleek and light in weight. and offer a decent level of quality and style at a fairly “tasty” price, and inside them are installed the latest third-generation Intel Core processors with Ivy Bridge architecture.
But already in July, there were negative reviews of the first customers about the wireless network on this laptop. The official lenovo forum already has 26 pages and 258 answers.
Other references to this appeared on ultrabooknews.com.and in customer reviews on Amazon and Yandex.Market.

Lenovo’s position is still a little frustrating, the last message from them was July 24, “We have made progress on this, and we should be able to provide an official update shortly.” (Approximately: We are working on this and will provide an official solution to this problem in the near future). But more than two weeks have passed and the buyers are at a loss.
According to users, service centers offer to simply change the wireless card. But it is not yet clear whether this solves the problem or is the problem connected with the antenna.
Upset buyers on the forum advise each other not to rush the purchase until official producer comments appear. If you have already bought, then think about the possibility of returning it if it has not been 14 days.
UPD:New information appeared from
Lenovo During July, Lenovo received customer reports of lower than expected wireless performance on some U310 and U410 IdeaPad systems. As a result, we extensively tested sample U310 and U410 models and a design update was implemented to ensure a more consistent wireless performance in all customer environments. U310 and U410 models manufactured after July 23, 2012 incorporate these updates and are not affected. Customers with U310 and U410 models manufactured prior to July 23 who have experienced lower than expected wireless performance should contact Lenovo support to schedule service.
Briefly: Everyone who has a laptop manufactured before July 23 and has problems with the wireless connection should contact the Service Center for repair.
