Mail.Ru Group organizes a series of events - informal meetings with students of Moscow universities on the topic of trends in Russian and foreign Internet.
We invite students and all interested to take part in our events. The next meeting will be held on March 20 at 18:00 in the HSE Concert Hall at 5a Vorontsovo pole, Moscow.
Dmitry Grishin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mail.Ru Group, will talk about how to make a career as a top manager, how to build a business on the Internet, about the figures and trends of the Russian and world Internet, about the development of social networks and mobile communications.
And, of course, answer your questions. The authors of the best questions will receive a prize - a smartphone.
Biography:
Dmitry Grishin - one of the most successful young businessmen in Russia. Over the past ten years, he achieved dizzying results in the IT industry - starting from the position of developer, in March 2012 he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mail.Ru Group.
Dmitry was born in 1978 in the city of Kapustin Yar, Astrakhan Region. In 2001 he graduated with honors from MSTU. Bauman. Simultaneously with studies, from 1998 to 2001. Dmitry Grishin worked in an American IT company, in 2000 he joined netBridge Services (later Mail.Ru) as the head of the project development department at Molotok.ru.
In spring 2001, he was appointed head of the service center, and in December became the technical director of the Mail.Ru portal, formed as a result of the merger of netBridge Services with the Internet company Port.ru. Six months later, in June 2002, he moved to the position of Executive Director, and since April 2003 he took the position of General Director.
In 2005, Dmitry Grishin became one of the founders of the Mail.Ru Group (originally named Digital Sky Technologies, DST). In 2010, he headed the Mail.Ru Group, which, in addition to the Mail.Ru portal, also included the Odnoklassniki social network, the ICQ messenger and the HeadHunter group of companies. Under Dmitry’s management, in just a few years, the company has become one of the largest players in the European online communications market.
Dmitry Grishin pays great attention to improving the level of Russian education. In particular, he heads the department for the preparation of IT specialists at the Faculty of Information Technology and Programming of St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies in Mechanics and Optics. He is the founder and ideologist of the largest Eastern European Olympiad for programmers in the Russian Code Cup.
