ONETRAK - smart bracelets and not only
Maybe someone has already heard about us, but for now we are not universally known and want to tell about ourselves. ONETRAK is the first Russian manufacturer of smart bracelets. We appeared in 2014, at the same time we launched our first smart bracelets (ONETRAK Life and ONETRAK Sport).
Since then, we have grown, made new gadgets, and now we are creating an ecosystem of devices for monitoring the main indicators of health (activity, nutrition, sleep, blood pressure, pulse, etc.) and related software — applications for Android, iOS and the web.

We chose an ambitious mission - to embody the concept of “Healthy nation - strong Russia”. No, we are not a state-owned company, as you might think, but just a group of like-minded people who dream of changing the attitude of compatriots towards their own health and that of their loved ones. Our goals:
We plan to expand our ecosystem, include new devices for maintaining healthy lifestyles and analyzing the state of the body, conduct research based on the collected data, we want to create artificial intelligence and a robotic system for developing individual recommendations for improving health and supporting medical and coaching decisions. There are plans for many years of work here, so we need creative, ideological, skillful, talented guys (more on this below).

Now we can say with confidence that we have passed the stage of a startup, and took place as a manufacturer, while maintaining the title of pioneers and innovators in many areas. When we first started working on the project, in Russia almost no one knew what fitness bracelets are. The niche was just beginning to form and was quickly filled with foreign brands. Moreover, big brands of world renown, which have years of work behind the image and huge budgets for advertising and promotion.
In such conditions, it is rather difficult for a small startup to stay afloat. But we could. In many respects due to the correctly chosen strategy: at the first stages we decided to focus only on the Russian market and the domestic consumer, and not to try to immediately conquer foreign markets. In conditions when the competition is high, but foreign companies do not want to invest in localization, this has yielded positive results.
1. Aiming at saving and improving health. We initially position our bracelets not as a fashion accessory or a toy, not as a continuation and expansion of smartphone functions, but as a convenient tool for tracking health and a motivator for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And even in our communities, you will find much more content about lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, and not products. We really want to change people's attitude towards their health.
2. Food catalog with local dishes, shops, restaurants . 16 million products and dishes familiar to Russians to keep a food diary and keep calorie balance under control.
3. Service and technical support in Russian (and even video instructions). We offer a lot of ways to contact the technical support service: telephone, e-mail, communities in social networks “Vkontakte” and “Facebook”, application forms on the website and in the application.
4. Accessibility and openness . Do you know many companies that you can write directly to the founder? And we can. We offer users to share their impressions about the products and ideas on how to improve them by writing a letter to Michael, our founder, by e-mail. And yes, he does read all the letters.
5. Unique warranty conditions. We are so confident in the reliability of our products that we change the device to a new one if the user succeeds in breaking it down during the warranty period, regardless of the cause of the breakdown.
6. Ability to upgrade.Remote upgrade allows any user of smart bracelets, without leaving home, without losing time to go to a store or technical service, without buying a new product, to extend the functionality of your bracelet and mobile application to the most advanced model. There are no manufacturers on the wearable electronics market offering a similar opportunity to expand functionality.
There is a person who gathered us all, infected us with his idea and continues to charge us with energy and enthusiasm - Mikhail Prepelitsky, the founder of the company. The idea of the project was born on the basis of Michael’s personal life experience. He tells about it like this:

ONETRAK has no investors, we did not receive grants and did not raise money through crowdfunding. All the money invested in the project - Michael's personal money. Therefore, when you come to an internship, you can be sure that we are not a sharashkin office or a budget maker, but we know the real value of money and we won’t scatter after getting our first profit. To be more precise, the profit is already there, because our smart bracelets have been on sale in the Russian market for years. Money from sales goes to the further development of the project, and we have development plans for many years to come.
Now the main implementation of the bracelets goes through federal retail chains, in particular, we cooperate with such major retailers as MVideo, Sportmaster, KnowHow, Euroset, and the online stores DNS, Ozon. But in the future we see other methods of product sales. After the integration of our ecosystem with EGISZ, we do not exclude the possibility of reaching public procurement. Also, our devices can be a convenient tool for implementing corporate health programs or improving services in the field of life and health insurance. As the number of users and devices in the ecosystem increases, the amount of data collected will increase. The data can be the basis for various studies, and in this lies an additional way to monetize the project.
As mentioned earlier, we continue to grow and develop, we are looking for like-minded people. Not only specialists and pros, but also interns. The main thing is basic knowledge and interest, we will teach the rest. We will not tell about the administrative departments - everything is here, like everyone else’s, and our youth and creative part of the team includes:
Almost in every department there are guys who came to our internship, stayed to work and, thanks to their efforts, quickly and confidently moved up the career ladder. For example, our Project manager started working as ONETRAK as a secretary, and our team leader of the Android team started as an intern and in less than 2 years became a leading developer.

Creator and Mastermind

“Usually we think about health only when it is under threat. So it was with me: at 30, I weighed about 150 kg. My doctor told me, if I do not change my lifestyle, I will live a maximum of 50 years. I will never forget the effect these words have had on me against the background of the sudden death of my uncle. During the following months I went to the gym regularly, and in the morning I went for a run. It cost incredible efforts, including psychological ones. I had to force myself to work out every day, to get up earlier, to go to the gym, etc. The experience I got led me to look for a permanent source of motivation. Its main result was the creation of the project ONETRAK. At the development stage, we wanted to create a kind of motivator for sedentary people, then we came up with the idea of a smart bracelet,
