New Year's present from @ pod2g: Untethered jail for iOS 5.0.1

Good news for many appeared on the Dev-team site: a jailbreak was released for iOS 5.0.1 for the following devices: iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPhone4-CDMA, iPad1, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G

Now pod2g has focused on working on a jail for iPad2 and iPhone 4S.

UPD2: If you need to flash a phone that is not tied to the operator (wrong)- then you can sew the official 5.0.1 via iTunes, then make a jail using redsn0w.

If the phone is tied to the operator - in no case do not sew factory 5.0.1, otherwise you will lose unlock! You need to customize the firmware without raising the modem using redsn0w or sn0wbreeze. Only it can be sewn and then all according to the instructions.
