Lenovo released a rugged laptop for students and schoolchildren

Laptops are a pretty fragile thing. At the same time, having a rather large mass, the fall of a laptop even from a small height can mean "death" of the entire device or "just" the hard drive. Well, if you consider that rarely anyone archives data and few people think about the need for such archiving before problems arise, then the appearance of a protected laptop can be a good solution. So, Lenovo introduced a new laptop, which the manufacturer is positioning as a device for students.

The laptop is called ThinkPad X130e. The developers really tried: the device received some special element to protect electronic components in the event of a fall. This applies not only to the hard drive, but to the entire "filling" in general. As for the hard drive, the creators of the laptop built an accelerometer that determines the moment of fall and parks the heads of the hard drive (in fact, this technology is not particularly new).

Notebook ThinkPad X130e, rather, is a netbook - the size of its diagonal is only 11.6 inches. In addition, the entire system is based on the Intel Core i3-2367M platform. The maximum amount of RAM is 8 GB (2 GB installed in the system), plus a 500 GB hard drive is installed. There are also three USB 2.0 ports, standard Ethernet, card reader, HDMI and VGA. As for wireless communication modules, the ThinkPad X130e has WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0.

It is especially worth highlighting the battery, the charge of which is enough for about 8 hours of operation of the device. The cost of a laptop is not as great as one might think. For the ThinkPad X130e, you will need to pay $ 470 for the purchase. But, of course, it is in the USA or Europe. In the CIS countries, as usual, the cost of the device will be higher.
