RIW starts with Farminers: 200,000 rubles to a startup-winner
Today, as part of the opening of the Russian Internet Week, the winners of the “Alley of Innovations” contest were awarded. The main prize - a gift certificate for 200,000 rubles - the co-organizer of the competition, the Farminers Academy of projects , awarded the project Tax . This is really a prize, we did not ask for a share or an option, we just gave money to support the project.

Acquaintance of the Academy with the project began even before the competition - its author Sergey Tsabolov applied for participation in the round table. Even then, academics became interested in the project. But for all its prospects, the project did not satisfy at least two of the Academy’s main requirements: orientation to the global market and mobile platforms. Therefore, in the framework of the round table it was not considered.
And yet, having discovered Tax in the list of finalists of the “Alley of Innovations”, academics had little doubt who would award the main prize. “The fact that we did not accept the project for ourselves does not mean that the market does not need it,” Vsevolod Leonov said during the presentation of the certificate. - Tax is an important project that helps to increase tax and Internet literacy. He will help the development of Runet, but we will help him - with money and not only. ”
“We are ready to support many promising ideas, and not only those that fall into our incubator,” says Alena Vladimirskaya, co-founder of the Academy. “Recently, we launched the $ 3,000 prototype program and have already funded one project. And it is equally important for us to participate in contests and support interesting startups. We are for the development of the Internet as a whole and we consider it appropriate to promote projects in various fields, not only priority for the Academy. ”
