Piracy on a new level
In this article I would like to tell the habrasociety one interesting case.
So, in June, on the widely known, I think, site Freelance.ru, this announcement appeared:
Naturally, as soon as the owners of Twil.ru came across this announcement, a letter was sent to the Freelance administration asking them to delete the advertisement and block the user. Here is the text of the letter:
To which Freelance.ru refused, with a note that this situation should not be called copyright infringement. And it seems like the story should have ended on this, but no. Recently, a test version of the site with the AllChoice.ru domain has appeared on the network. And what do we see? For comparison: the original (Twil.ru) - a copy. Apparently the designer had “completely the flight of your imagination” only to change the color scheme. Moreover, if you scroll to the main page of the clone, then at the very bottom there will be an inscription: "© 2011 Twil.ru is a private sector for leisure and travel in Russia. Terms of use of the site." How to call it without resorting to taboo vocabulary - I do not know. The network has long been rumored about the disregard of the administration of the Freelance.ru users. Moreover, as I understand it, this kind of announcement there is a normal practice. So is it really impossible to claim your rights to ideas or design, because this is also intellectual property, and in the case of the site, it is also legally registered. It is interesting to listen to the opinion of the habrasociety in this regard.
So, in June, on the widely known, I think, site Freelance.ru, this announcement appeared:
Hello!
I myself am a freelancer (doing layout and programming) my nickname is from the freelance account on this site savenko123.
I got a project for which you need to develop a design. For a basis it is necessary to take the site tvil.ru .
Customer's wish:
The main thing in design is that it differs from the source. Completely flight of your imagination. Well, not a big wish, on the main page to make the main window larger.
And when adding ads they have a lot of filters, half or more can be removed.
I expect from you the cost of work and the conditions under which you are ready to start work. Term 1 week from the date you are approved by the contractor
Naturally, as soon as the owners of Twil.ru came across this announcement, a letter was sent to the Freelance administration asking them to delete the advertisement and block the user. Here is the text of the letter:
I am the owner of the tvil.ru project. On your site, I saw an ad of the following nature www.free-lance.ru/projects/?pid=756216 . This infringes my copyrights. Please delete this publication, send to all persons who responded to this announcement a letter with the refuting text, and block the user specified in the announcement. Please provide me with all the contact details of the profile www.free-lance.ru/users/savenko_rabota and www.free-lance.ru/user/index.php?user=savenko123 for further warning
