4road.net vs RosYama
This spring, Alexey Navalny presented an Internet project to combat pits on the roads , and in Ukraine, the 4road.net project appeared quietly and imperceptibly . Two sites designed to help citizens deal with
I will begin my comparison of these two sites by entering them. 4road.net does not allow logging in with the login of popular social networks or services. “Okay,” I thought, and spent a minute registering. Next, proceed according to the algorithm:

or

if you are using RosYama.
Photos of the pits were prepared in advance, but 4road.net does not allow downloading files larger than 1 MB, i.e. if your mobile or PDA with a 5 MP camera takes a photo, for example, 1.02 MB will still have to spend time reducing it. At the same time, RosYama allows you to upload photos up to 2 MB and more than one, the main thing is not to exceed 8 MB of the total size.
Next, you need to specify the address of the pit. And on 4road.net there is a drop-down menu for choosing a city and text fields for indicating a detailed address. It seems just enough. But not everyone remembers the names of the streets where they drove and took pictures of the pits. The built-in Yandex map would be very helpful in this matter.
After uploading the file to 4road.net, your pit is assigned a rating. According to the rules of the site, you cannot vote for your pits (this possibility is excluded), only a registered participant can vote, a participant cannot vote twice for the same pit. The rules for evaluating and calculating ratings are 9 points. And four types of competitions are held:
1. Competition for the worst rated pit on the road in Ukraine;
2. Competition for the worst hole in each city separately;
3. Competition for the most active participant in Ukraine (according to the total rating);
4. Competition for the most active participant in each city (according to the total rating).
As for me, this is an absolutely useless thing. Moreover, the rating is considered wrong: Of course, it’s nice to get a prize, for example, for the worst rated hole on the Ukrainian road. But better let it be patched faster, and I will never remember about it again. Both projects were created with the aim of driving along good roads as soon as possible - this is the best motivation for citizens who have used these sites. I will turn to the review from the Russian site. At RosYama, I filled out this form:

The data from which allowed to form a PDF file. It remains only to print it and send / take it to the traffic police. The name of the chief was substituted automatically. Address - from previous forms. None of this on 4road.net yet. I sent a letter to [email protected] with the subject “Where is the automation on the site?”. From this address, two completely opposite answers came. The first option was sent by the Administration of the 4road.net portal: “Good afternoon.
I promise oath: not today or tomorrow such an option will appear. I just want to make it easier, more universal, to connect with many databases. But due to the fact that requests like yours have become more frequent and come in batches - we’ll add it as it is, and we will gradually improve it. ” Further, the text of the nuance in my hole, a link to the text of the complaint in the traffic police about a pothole (hole) on the carriageway of the city roadand the Skarga GKS.doc attachment is a complaint template in the FSW. I did not write the exact recommendations and addresses where to send the complaint. You can / need to choose from the traffic police, the City Council, the FSW. You need to google yourself.
The second option came from 4road: “Good day. There is no automation yet. There are forms that are published in articles. You must enter the name and address. We are working on automation, but this is not in the near future. ” Without links and attachments. The same opposite answers from the same address came to the request to increase the size for uploaded files to 2Mb.
Here is another positive point that the Ukrainian project does not have yet. RosYama on Android. It is really very convenient to post photos of pits directly from the streets or while in traffic.
I am very glad that in Odessa there were people who created the site 4road.net. The beginning is half the battle. And I hope that my comments will not be perceived by the administration of 4road.net as a reproach. I really want to make a complaint simple and quick. For mass effect simplicity and speed are just important. Thank you very much to the RosYama site for the example “How to implement projects.” Thanks to my brother for the photo of the pit in Belgorod. According to him, finding her was a difficult matter, which means that in one city in Russia, the RosYama site was no longer needed.
UPD The link "Print complaint text" appeared in the pit card. But the complaint itself climbs onto the printer without a hat (name of the official, address of the recipient).
