Writing about iRobot is no longer interesting. Many people know about him. Therefore, in a last article I wrote about iClebo Smart robotic vacuum cleaners. Now I’ll talk about robotic vacuum cleaners completely unknown to the Russian public: RobZone.
RobZone is an Austrian company, although production, like iRobot, is in China. In fact, in European countries, company models are quite widespread. By the beginning of 2011, RobZone employees realized that it was necessary to open their representative office in Russia, which they successfully did.
The most current models: RobZone Gold , RobZone Silver and RobZone Emotion. I was in the hands of a Gold model, but I will also tell about the differences between these models.
RobZone Emotion
Represents the youngest model of the family. But even the younger model is equipped with a remote control, unlike many iRobot vacuum cleaners for the same price. Moreover, this model can be programmed for a week. What does it mean? You set the time for cleaning and go to work. In your absence, the robot retracts, and becomes back to the base for recharging. All you have to do is clean the dust bin from the dust bin. In terms of build quality, in my personal opinion, the model is better assembled than the more expensive brothers. An interesting feature of all “RobZones” is the presence of an ultraviolet lamp in the lower part of the body. The lamp, according to the manufacturer, disinfects, kills germs and ticks that pets can bring.
The cost of Emotion is comparable with the younger iRobot models, for example, the 531, 533 series. At the same time, the latter are not programmable, without a remote control, without a UV lamp.
Verdict : a good choice for those who are looking for an inexpensive, but fully functional alternative to inexpensive iRobot models.
RobZone Silver - differs from Emotion in a more capacious dust collector (1 liter, like the top iRobot), the presence of a display, a 5-step cleaning system (instead of 4), can be supplemented with a floor cleaning function with an antistatic cloth (having bought an accessory).
If we draw an analogy with iRobot models, then the model is similar to iRobot 55x, only it has almost twice as much dust collector and a remote control in the kit.
Verdict : a good alternative to iRobot, if the cleaning area is over 60 square meters.
And finally, the top model of the line, which was tested in real conditions: RobZone Gold .
Body . Performed, oddly enough, in a golden hue. Quite high-quality materials, but nevertheless, at iRobot and iClebo, the plastic seems more rigid and durable. In general, if we talk about the build quality, then the leader is iRobot, in second place comes iClebo and Neato, then everyone else (I can’t say anything for Samsung, Electrolux, Karcher, I haven’t seen them). The front bumper absorbs impacts on obstacles and is made of rubberized material. Furniture just won't ruin it. Dimensions 350 x 110 mm.
On the lower part there are rubber and rotating brushes, a UV lamp, a side brush, anti-fall sensors. In this model, you can install a microfiber cloth that will wipe the floors. Please note that he will not wash the floors, even if you moisten it. Firstly, you will have to moisten regularly. And secondly, Gold uses a less dense wipe than iCelbo and it is not recommended to wet it in principle. It is useful only for wiping smooth floors from fine dust. Although he would rather blow it out from under himself than wipe it. In general, the accessory is doubtful.
On the upper part of the robot vacuum cleaner there is an LCD display with useful information about: cleaning mode (there are 7 of them, by the way), battery charge, errors that have occurred, etc.
A filtration system is located on the rear surface of the vacuum cleaner so that dust from the dust collector does not come out. Unlike younger models, Gold has 5 stages of filtration and uses a filter with silver nanoparticles.

The functional features of the Gold model correspond to the top competitor models, in particular:
• The volume of the dust bag is 1 liter. This means that it will easily clean 4 rooms and the dust collector will probably not be full by this moment.

Interestingly, an additional brush and a virtual wall are offered as a separate bag. That is, there are no special places in the foam box for them.
How is he cleaned?
Now the fun part. As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times. I prepared a short video of the vacuum cleaner for reference.
The noise level is comparable to iRobot and works a little louder than iClebo. It can work completely autonomously, as well as be controlled using the remote control. If the battery is charged during operation, it will recharge and start cleaning from where it left off, due to the fact that it remembers the route it was cleaning.
Sensors against bumps and falls from a height work with a bang. If you put the robot on the table. He will not fall from it. The suction power is one and a half times higher than the standard iRobot. The cleaning time of the middle room (15-18 squares) will be about 30-35 minutes.
Verdict. A good top model among cleaning robots. It will easily compete with your rivals.
